What ParFocal is
ParFocal is a focused reading app. You open a book as a page, tap a word or a block, and the text plays back one word at a time so your eyes stop moving. When you are done, the view zooms out to a map of the whole book so you never lose the big picture.
Common questions
Where do the books come from? From public-domain catalogues: Project Gutenberg, Standard Ebooks, Bibliothèque Électronique du Québec, and Open Library. You can also open your own EPUB files.
Does ParFocal work offline? Once a book is downloaded, yes. Finding and downloading new books needs a connection.
Where is my reading progress stored? On your device only. ParFocal has no accounts and no server, so progress does not follow you to another phone — and deleting the app deletes it.
I am a beta tester. How do I send feedback? Settings → Share Your Feedback opens the tester form. You can also just email the address above.
